Coconut Chutney

Coconut chutney is a accompaniment/side dish/condiment that goes well with Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Medu Vada, Sabudana Vada, Sabudana Appe, Bhajiya or any other fried snacks.

Here is my quick and easy recipe of the same.

Coconut Chutney

A tasty accompaniment for Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Medu Vada, Sabudana Vada, Sabudana Appe or any other fried snacks.

  • 1 Grated Coconut
  • 2-3 Chopped green chillies
  • 1 Cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 Tsp Jeera/Cumin
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as required to grind the above ingredients
  • 2 Tsp Ghee
  • 2 Red Chillies
  • 1 Tsp Jeera/Cumin
  1. Grind the grated coconut, chopped green chillies, coriander, jeera and salt adding little water at a time. Make a fine paste.
  2. Heat Ghee in a pan. Add jeera and let it crackle. Next add the red chillies and pour the tadka over the chutney.
